Lynette Martin
Oldest sister of Crystal Martin, owner of Flint's. I was born in Monroe, Louisiana. The oldest daughter of Charlotte Flintroy Martin and Curtis Martin. Family moved to Oakland in 1963. I attended, EMorris Cock, Brookfield Elementary, St Benedict's, Lowell Jr High and McClymonds High.
My Story
Graduated from Grambling St University in 1985. B.S. degree in Food Production Mgmt. While attending high school, my very first job at 16, was working at Flint's BBQ, for my uncle's. I worked at the San Pablo location and sometimes Shattuck. I worked there until I left for college. I've lived in Oakland all my life and have been extremely blessed to have made many, many beautiful memories and friends.
I am extremely proud that Crystal has brought Flint's back into existence. I enjoy helping with the business and truly enjoy people's happiness and support that we are back. It's worth all of the hard work just to know people still support this Oakland institution that my grandfather and uncles started in 1968. May God continue to bless Crystal with the family business.
