Crystal Martin

​My name is Crystal Martin and I am the new owner of Flint's Barbecue. As the youngest of my mothers 5 children, born in 1979 I unfortunately never got to meet Grandfather! As a child my memories of Flints are running around the back room of the San Pablo location and helping my mother as she worked. Once all the locations closed it hurt to see the family business which was once so prominent just sit idle.

 

I always asked my mother to revive it but she never wanted to, so as an adult I decided to take on the task myself with the blessing of my step grandmother Margaret and the teaching of my oldest sister Lynette. It feels good to bring back an institute that has been so greatly missed and being able to honor granddads legacy at the same time! In a way it connects me to him and I'm happy about that!
